WASHINGTON (AP) - Metropolitan police have identified an alleged bank robber who tried to use the Metro as his getaway vehicle.
The Metropolitan Police Department says officers arrested 57-year-old Scott Lee Feuer of southeast Washington in connection with the robbery Friday.
Police say the robbery happened at a Wells Fargo bank on K Street at about 10 a.m. Friday. Police asked Metro Transit Police to hold trains at the Dupont Circle stop after the suspect fled in that direction.
A Metro spokesman says authorities were able to arrest Feuer on a train bound for Silver Spring.
