WASHINGTON - Authorities say violence in the District of Columbia has left one man dead and another three injured.
Police were first called to the 4800 block of Alabama Avenue in Southeast for a report of a shooting about 11:20 p.m. Monday. Officers at the scene found a man and a juvenile with gunshot wounds to their legs. Both were taken to a hospital and are expected to recover.
About the same time, police were called to a shooting in the 2700 block of Naylor Road in Southeast. Police say a juvenile was shot in the back, but was conscious and breathing.
About 11:40 p.m., another shooting was reported on Brooks Street in Northeast. Police say a man was shot in the back and taken to a hospital, where he died.
