WASHINGTON - Organizers of a protest against the drilling practice known as hydraulic fracturing or fracking say they're expecting thousands to participate in a demonstration in Washington.
Demonstrators plan to rally on the west lawn of the U.S. Capitol on Saturday. They also plan to march to the headquarters of America's Natural Gas Alliance and the American Petroleum Institute. Organizers say fracking is dangerous and can result in contaminated water and other environmental problems.
Organizers say they expect more than 100 groups to participate.
