WASHINGTON (AP) - Museums around the country, including some in Washington, are participating in Art Museum Day with free or reduced admission and special programs.
The Association of Art Museum Directors says more than 120 art museums across the United States, Canada and Mexico are participating in Friday's celebration.
In Washington, The Phillips Collection will have free admission. And the Smithsonian's National Museum of African Art plans a performance by percussionist Jabari Exum and a meet and greet with museum director Johnnetta Betsch Cole.
