WASHINGTON - District of Columbia police say two men have been fatally stabbed in separate attacks overnight.
Police say they were called to the first stabbing in the 1600 block of Kenilworth Avenue, near Quarles Street, in northeast about 1:20 a.m. Tuesday. Authorities say they found the man suffering from serious stab wounds. He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities identified the man as 34-year-old Lamont Antonio Devore of northeast.
About an hour later, police responded to a report of a car crash at 5th Street and Florida Avenue in northwest. Officers at the scene found a man unconscious inside a vehicle that had crashed into a restaurant. Police say the man had stab wounds to the neck. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
