More midday Metro track work

WASHINGTON - Midday track work continues May 7 through May 11 on the Red, Orange, and Blue lines. All daytime work will take place between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Here's the summary from Metro:

Red Line

  • Trains will single track between Shady Grove and Twinbrook.
  • Trains will single track between Van Ness and Friendship Heights and between Takoma and Forest Glen. Customers should allow for 10 to 15 minutes of additional travel times.

Orange and Blue Lines

  • Trains will single track between Federal Center SW and Eastern Market.
  • Beginning 10 p.m. each night trains will single track between Stadium-Armory and Addison Road and between Arlington Cemetery and Pentagon City.

There is no scheduled worl on the Green or Yellow lones during weekday or late night hours this week.
